Randomly Repurposed Wine Corks

by | DIY, Uncategorized

Have some wine corks hanging around the house?  Maybe not enough to make a bulletin board or even a coaster?

Here’s how we use the ones languishing in our house:

Re-purpose Number 137: Door Stop.

(I like prime numbers.  Speaking of primes, I picked this one out of thin air, but apparently, it’s a nice solid strong, Chen, Stern and Eisenstein prime.  Geek-out done.)

Repurposed Wine corks

Re-purpose Number 139: Dimmer Switch

(Random mathematical fact – 139 is the twin prime of 137)

Lazy or resourceful?  You decide.

I like the door stopper idea! It’s kinda cute! But the light dimmer one? Well… I’m just curious to know what happened to the original switch? Or do I not wanna know?!

Hahaha I love the random number facts…. one of my favourite quotes (from one of my favourite books!) is about prime numbers….

“Prime numbers are what is left when you have taken all the patterns away. I think prime numbers are like life. They are very logical but you could never work out the rules, even if you spent all your time thinking about them.” – Mark Haddon
